Reporting Incidents

Emergencies
If an emergency occurs involving a GDB volunteer or puppy, GDB must be notified immediately. A volunteer should attempt to contact their puppy raising field manager (PFM) first. If the PFM cannot be reached, the volunteer should contact Puppy Raising from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Pacific), Monday through Friday at (800) 295-4050. If the emergency occurs after 5:00 p.m. or on a weekend, the volunteer should notify GDB at the same number and speak to the after-hours operator.

Other Incidents That Need to Be Reported
Any incident involving a GDB volunteer or puppy, or other persons or dogs that involve suspected abuse or neglect, harassment, injury or illness, or a lack of compliance with guidelines established by GDB must be reported. Any of the above incidents must be reported to the PFM by the next workday. If the PFM cannot be reached, report the incident to the Puppy Raising team at (800) 295-4050.
